Sebagai sekolah penggerak, SMAIT Ulil Albab Batam merupakan salah satu role model (referensi) bagi sekolah lainnya dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka. Kurikulum merdeka sebagai penyempurnaan dari Kurikulum 2013 ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai pedoman bagi satuan Pendidikan dalam memfasilitasi seluruh rangkaian pembelajaran yang berfokus kepada peserta didik.

Kegiatan Pengimbasan IKM dari SMAIT Ulil Albab Batam ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan dasar di dalam penyusunan rencana pembelajaran yang merdeka baik itu bagi peserta didik maupun pendidik.

Kegiatan Pengimbasan yang telah dilakukan oleh SMAIT Ulil Albab Batam adalah pada SMPIT Nurul Muhajirin dan SMPIT Cendekia Karimun. Adapun rangkaian materi yang disampaikan di dalam kegiatan ini antara lain; Kebijakan Pemerintah (Program Sekolah Penggerak dan Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka), Refleksi Kegiatan Pembelajaran, Paradigma Baru Kurikulum Merdeka, Pemahaman Capaian Pembelajaran, Perencanaan Pembelajaran, menyusun tujuan pembelajaran dan alur tujuan, modul ajar, perencanaan berbasis data, menyusun KOSP dan modul ajar. Perencanaan, penerapan serta evaluasi Penguatan Projek Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5). Penerapan dan Praktik Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi, Model dan Praktik Evaluasi. Serta yang tidak kalah menariknya, dikenalkan dengan pemanfaatan teknologi prioritas yang dapat menunjang dalam pembelajaran di kelas.

Kepala SMPIT Cendekia Karimun menjelaskan bahwa program pengimbasan ini berbarengan dengan program study sekolah bagi siswa yang diwakili oleh OSIS SMPIT Cendekia Karimun. Beliau menjelaskan SMAIT Ulil Albab sebagai sekolah Pengimbas yang memiliki kewajiban untuk menularkan, dan SMPIT Cendekia Karimun sebagai sekolah yang menerima manfaat pengimbasan.

Beliau berharap bahwa hasil pengimbasan IKM di SMPIT Cendekia Karimun dan SMPIT Nurul Muhajirin bisa mengikuti jejak implementasi kurikulum merdeka seperti praktik baik di SMAIT Ulil Albab Batam.

Menyinggung raport mutu sekolah, seperti halnya peserta didik, setiap sekolah juga memiliki raport pendidikan, lembar penilaian yang sangat penting artinya untuk melihat warna kualitas sekolah. Beberapa hal penting untuk diperhatikan oleh sekolah terkait raport pendidikan antara lain kemampuan literasi dan numerasi di sekolah sebagai kemampuan yang bersifat umum dan mendasar.

Terkait kegiatan Pengimbasan IKM hari ini, beliau menyebutkan bahwa jika kurikulum merdeka sudah benar-benar dilaksanakan, maka literasi, numerasi dan semua iklim kondusifitas sekolah akan serta-merta naik untuk jangka panjang, oleh karenanya ikhtiar implementasi kurikulum merdeka harus dimulai dari sekarang.
